Sooo Elementary

Well it has been a while and this will be short and sweet. Look later this week for another post, but I wanted to put something in so you didn't think that I forgot about my new adventure.

So, as I told you, I started a new position at an elementary school. This is different than the middle school level in many ways. Some good, some could be better and some are just oh so very cute.

So I have this little boy, I will call him Adam. Adam is this little blond cute as a button little boy. He is in 2nd grade and on the smaller side. He walks in my first day and just looks up at me (I had heels on besides). He then says, "How old are you?" So instead of just giving him an answer I ask, "How old do you think I am?" And he responds, "80" If I had false teeth I probably would have dropped them but I don't--since I am not 80. I then had to ask, "Why do you think I am 80?" His response is what I love about elementary--"cuz you must have been growing a really long time."

You have to love what comes out of the mouth of babes.

yeah - you're back! Such a cute little story. I can just imagine the look on his face when he saw this "monster" of a teacher standing above him! Guess you don't get to wear your fun heels to work anymore, huh!?!

Welcome back, I've missed you.
Your sis

Hysterical -- thanks for the laugh! We had a 6th grader (the babies in our building) last week ask the principal what she really does, besides stand in the lunch line to keep kids from running. Wouldn't that make you feel special?!
