Ice Capades--Ellis Style

Well, the fun on the ice has continued. The pond behind our house has become a neighborhood pass time and the dads seem to be trying to make it as much fun as possible. They decided that if the kids wanted to play hockey and skate, then the pond needed to be nice and smooth. So, two Saturdays ago, the dads hooked up the hose to our house and ran it out to the pond and for 3 hours--yes 3 hours--they moved the hose to insure an even skating surface. Now mind you, there was a case of Bud Lite stuck in the snow bank that we all seemed to dip into. The moms were not out there very long because we decided that watching an ice skating rink was kind of like paint drying. So we headed into the house for a glass of wine or two. As you can see, everyone seems to enjoying the wonderful rink.
